This system allows for the combination of construction materials with different characteristics and appearances, both inside and out. The external aluminum elements provide durable protection for the internal skeletal structure against weather conditions. Two types of materials can be used for the load-bearing structure: wooden construction profiles, which add a natural beauty and create a cozy atmosphere, or steel profiles, which may be necessary for an industrial-style décor or when there are large spans between supports.

The construction features an aluminum profile, known as the “mullion-transom” profile, which is attached to wooden or steel profiles using connecting members to form a compound profile that serves as the framework for the curtain wall. This profile is also used for mounting and securing glazing units and infills, bearing wind loads and other impacts on the structure. Additionally, the mullion-transom profile plays a crucial role in the drainage and ventilation of the construction. It is equipped with blanket-type EPDM gaskets, which are designed to achieve a cascade-type drainage system for both the mullion and transom, enhancing water tightness. A high-performance thermal insulator is also placed between the glazing elements.

Thanks to its components, the MB-SR50NA curtain wall meets the highest technical standards for thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as water and air tightness. The MB-SR50N A system is suitable for vertical constructions, glass roofs, and winter gardens. The appearance of the aluminum profiles, as with the standard MB-SR50N wall, can be customized according to the architectural design by shaping the masking profiles as desired.
