MB-79N Casement – Outward-Opening Window System

The Bertrand MB-79N Casement is an advanced outward-opening window system featuring a thermal break and designed to create modern architectural elements such as windows, storefronts, lobbies, and spatial structures. It provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, combined with superior air- and watertightness, meeting the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Three variants of aluminum profiles are available, each offering different technical parameters to meet specific design needs:

E variant – the basic solution with a single-component central seal,
ST variant – featuring a two-component central seal,
SI variant – equipped with additional insulating inserts between the thermal breaks for superior insulation performance.

Thanks to the rigidity and versatility of the profiles, the MB-79N Casement system allows for the construction of large, heavy, and durable window structures, while maintaining smooth operation even for small-sized vents.

Functions and Aesthetics:

Profile depth: 2.76 in (70 mm, frame) and 3.11 in (79 mm, casement) — these depths create a continuous internal plane when the window is closed.
Glazing thickness ranges: Frame: 0.06–2.13 in (1.5–54 mm) / Casement: 0.41–2.48 in (10.5–63 mm) — supports double or triple glazing, acoustic or burglar-resistant units.
Thermal variants: Available in E, ST, and SI variants — SI includes insulating inserts and dual-component central gasket to enhance thermal performance.
Kinematics and narrow vents: The system enables construction of narrow, operable vents (excellent kinematics).
Compatibility and parts interchangeability: The Casement variant is compatible with other MB-79N systems, allowing the shared use of glazing beads, gaskets, fittings, and accessories.
