Hidden among the pines on the outskirts of Gdansk (Poland) lies a house that, at first glance, could easily be mistaken for a beautifully restored historical estate. In reality, it’s a newly built home – designed to evoke the atmosphere and character of an old, established property. Our task? To provide wooden windows and doors that would harmonize with this vision – elegant, durable, and full of soul.
Natural charm with wooden Strongline windows in two colors
The key design element of this project was the use of Strongline wooden windowsin two distinct color tones:
Darker frames on the ground floor (BB_10 Palisander), matching the brick-and-stone base of the building,
Lighter frames on the upper floor (BB_11 Grey olive), adding visual lightness and a subtle contrast.
This combination gives the home a multi-layered look, as if the upper and lower levels had aged differently over the decades – exactly what the homeowner wanted.
To enhance the classical look, stick-on muntin bars (decorative grids) were added to the windows. These give the impression of traditional divided-light windows, reinforcing the timeless charm of the façade.
Wooden joinery that does more
This project included more than just windows. We delivered a full set of high-quality joinery tailored to the building’s unique style:
Euro 78 wooden entry doors, providing durability, insulation, and visual consistency,
Porch doors, connecting indoor comfort with the lush outdoor surroundings,
Custom-designed conservatory, perfectly integrated with the home’s structure and offering a cozy, light-filled retreat in all seasons,
Top-mounted roller shutters, discreetly integrated for enhanced comfort and privacy.
Each element was carefully chosen to reflect the character of the house and the natural setting in which it stands.
