We are likely the first company in Poland to introduce wood-aluminum windows into our product range. This product is gaining popularity, and for good reason—aluminum is a corrosion-resistant material, while wood adds warmth and character to the windows.
Wood-aluminum windows combine the advantages of both wood and aluminum, making them an attractive choice for many investors and homeowners. You can find many of our installations with these windows in the Tri-City area and its surroundings.
We export a significant number of these windows not only to Europe (e.g., Israel, Greece) but also to the United States, where people have a preference for solid, large-scale constructions, which we also produce.
Our company offers several types of wood-aluminum windows. The most popular among them is the Synergic system. Why?
– Because this system is dedicated to modern architecture, where cubic, angular shapes dominate, and maximized glass surfaces in buildings are designed to illuminate interiors, provide unobstructed views, and bring people closer to nature, – emphasizes Olaf Bertrand, Marketing and Export Director at Bertrand. – It is most often chosen by clients building new homes who value the aforementioned modernity, yet still consider wood one of the best materials due to its durability, appearance, natural character, and rigidity, which allows for the creation of large-scale structures. In Synergic windows, the wood is only visible from the inside of the building. We can give it a solid color, just like aluminum windows, a brushed wood texture, or varnish it in a translucent color that highlights the natural beauty of the wood. The aluminum cladding, on the other hand, ensures the windows’ durability for years and does not require any special maintenance. Its color can also be customized in the full range of RAL, Tiger, or NCS colors.
Another popular product in this range is the Alutrend Classic. A beautiful house in Reda, where the windows undoubtedly add significant charm to the property, is a great example — just take a look at the photos.
Alutrend Classic is an option for clients who appreciate the beauty of natural wood but also want to ensure maximum durability for their windows with minimal maintenance. The window structures are made of pine, meranti, or oak wood, painted with transparent paints showing the wood’s texture or with solid colors from the RAL color palette on the inside. Meanwhile, the external side is equipped with aluminum cladding, painted using a special technique to imitate various wood species (so-called decor) or uniformly in RAL colors.
Firstly, these windows are characterized by exceptional durability and resistance to weather conditions: the outer aluminum layer effectively protects the windows from rain, snow, wind, and UV radiation, preventing damage and extending the lifespan of the windows. Additionally, aluminum is corrosion-resistant, meaning the external part of the windows won’t rust or deteriorate.
Secondly, there’s the natural beauty and warmth of wood. The wooden interior layer adds a natural, warm appearance to the interiors, which is hard to achieve with other materials. Of course, one could purchase PVC windows and apply veneer—it might look quite good visually, but in terms of performance and effect, it’s a completely different story.
This is because, thirdly, wood-aluminum windows provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation. Wood is a great insulator, helping to maintain the right temperature inside the building and reducing heating and cooling costs. Additionally, the construction of wood-aluminum windows, combined with the properties of wood, provides effective sound insulation, which is beneficial in noisy locations.
Fourthly, there’s security. The combination of wood and aluminum creates an exceptionally strong and durable structure, providing a high level of security.
Fifthly, low maintenance costs. The external aluminum layer does not require frequent maintenance, such as painting or varnishing, saving us time and money. The durability and weather resistance mean these windows require fewer repairs and maintenance compared to traditional wooden windows.
What else is worth knowing about this product range? For instance, wood-aluminum windows are often equipped with modern technologies, such as triple glazing, which further increases their energy efficiency and sound insulation.
Wood-aluminum windows offer an excellent combination of aesthetics, durability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance costs. As a result, they represent an investment that benefits both functionality and appearance, as well as their environmental impact.
