“Every element of the décor was part of my concept. Nothing ended up here by accident,” says Mrs. Katarzyna with a smile.
Why Bertrand?
When talking about interior design, it’s impossible not to mention one of its most important features — the windows. When we asked Mrs. Katarzyna why she chose Bertrand, her answer came without hesitation:
“Because Bertrand windows had always been my dream.”
It sounded like something straight out of a marketing campaign, yet it was completely genuine. Naturally, we asked where that dream came from.
“I had heard many times that Bertrand products are top quality,” Mrs. Katarzyna explains. “It wasn’t about seeing them somewhere — the reputation just stuck with me. Honestly, I only hesitated because I thought they might be out of my price range.”

For Mrs. Katarzyna, details matter. That’s why the choice of windows and doors was so carefully considered.
“I wanted all the windows to open traditionally — with a handle. We skipped sliding systems because they didn’t work well in our previous home.”
And she’s right. Classic PVC tilt-and-turn windows used as patio doors offer excellent insulation, soundproofing, and durability. The only downside might be the threshold, which can be inconvenient for small children or people with limited mobility.
“For us, that’s not an issue at all. After a year, you don’t even notice the threshold anymore.”

The project didn’t stop at the windows. Katherine also chose aluminum front doors in the MB-86 system — solid, elegant, and resistant to all weather conditions.
But what really catches the eye are the interior doors. Some are classic white MDF panels, while others are black, glass-paneled designs with delicate muntins. What’s behind the mix?
“I wanted the doors to the office and hallway to be glazed. Otherwise, that area would be too dark,” explains Katherine.
Thanks to this thoughtful choice, the home is bright, harmonious, and full of character — just like its owners.

“I absolutely don’t regret my choice. The windows and doors still look like new. Nothing has gone out of alignment, no signs of wear. It was truly an investment for years to come.”
